Masseria Pepe

Masseria Pepe is a completely renovated ancient Salento masseria, perfect for spending relaxing vacations in a rural and authentic atmosphere just a few minutes from the beaches of Maruggio, on the Ionian Sea.

The masseria with swimming pool consists of "casine," or individually rentable rooms, and an apartment with kitchen for a total of 36 beds.

Each casina has its own equipped outdoor space, air conditioning, TV, mini fridge, mosquito nets, relaxation area and parking space.

The large swimming pool with solarium surrounded by nature is available to all guests. Pets allowed.

Like all the most beautiful masserie in the area, Masseria Pepe dates back to the 16th century and preserves all the charm of its original beauty, with its ancient white lime walls and original cocciopesto floors, to which a careful renovation has harmoniously combined all the most modern comforts.

The structure of Apulian rural tradition is divided into"casine," pretty rooms all different that preserve traces of the past such as fireplaces, old stables, thick walls and dry stone walls that frame the greenery and the modern swimming pool.

There are seven cottages in all, to which is added the apartment on the second floor complete with kitchen.

On the ground floor of Masseria Pepe there are 6 rooms with small fenced backyard and benches for relaxation. The space in front of the "little houses" is a porch adorned with white gauze curtains that provide shade and cool during the hottest hours of sunny summer days.

On the second floor, the wide white lime staircase leads to the Manor House, the largest of the solutions on the farm, complete with kitchen, balconies and terrace with panoramic views.

Finally, opposite the central core of the masseria, stands the "fig house," surrounded by an outdoor patio and consisting of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

At the back of the Masseria Pepe is the laundry room, available to all guests.

Masseria Pepe is located in the countryside of Maruggio, just 3 km from the beaches of Torre Ovo and Campomarino di Maruggio, seaside resorts lying on the Salento's Ionic arch south of Taranto.

The property is positioned on a road junction from which it's easy to reach various Apulian resorts, renowned wine cellars or restaurants on the coast to enjoy seafood.

All around the farmhouse expanses of green and red earth dotted with ancient trulli accompany the gaze toward the blue horizon of the sea, which is clearly visible on clear days.
