For this 26th edition, the Fai Days ofLecce's Salentohave the subtitle "Fai... da Set," in collaboration with the Apulia Film Commission, a fine initiative to let visitors into the places that featured some of the films shot in Puglia, Lecce and province. In the places, you can also admire the exhibition "Shots of Cinema" curated by Daniele Trevisi, with scene photos of film productions shot in Salento.
And so we walk in the heart of Salento, to discover the beauties of the area that have fascinated directors and producers from all over the world. Here are the four cities offering their treasures to the Fai Days of Spring, in the mornings and afternoons ofSaturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, 2018.

In Galatina , the Chapel of San Paolo, famous as a place of redemption for the tarantate women who went there to ask for mercy, and the set of the documentary film "Viaggio a Galatina" by Luigi A. Santoro, opens. The small church is set in the ancient Palazzo Tondi-Vignola dating back to 1795.
Nardò is home to the Acquaviva-Personè Castle, now the town hall, which is located in the historic center where themusical "Walking Sunshine" by M. Giwa and D. Pasquini. and the 18th-century Church of Santa Teresa, among the sets of the film "Have you ever been on the moon?" by P. Genovese.
Going up toward the Valle della Cupa, in Monteroni di Lecce are the halls of Villa Romano, where scenes from Cristina Comencini's film"Latin Lover" were shot.

In Lecce opens the Town Hall, Palazzo Carafa, set of the film"Una donna per amica" by G. Veronesi, the palace Tamborino Cezzi, set of "Mine vaganti" by Ferzan Ozpetek, and also for the same film, the garden and roof terrace of Palazzo Marulli Famularo, from the end of the '400s.
Closing the circuit of visits is the Abbey ofSanta Maria di Cerrate, on the Squinzano-Casalabate provincial road, which offers the opportunity to observe up close the completion of the restoration of the church, carved between the 11th and 12th centuries in Lecce stone, a valuable testimony to Apulian Romanesque.
