Tulipark: an idea germinating during the pandemic

The TuliPark brand, already well-established in the cities of Rome, Bologna and Spoleto, is preparing to open its doors in the capital of Puglia thanks to the work of the ExecutionVerde Group. The project, conceived by Antonio Lavermicocca and Tina Camardelli, the company's administrator and head of planning and events, was born during the critical period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This idea had already flashed in our minds during the Covid period," the founders explain, "because we wanted to offer a place where families could safely experience nature in the city. Then we heard about this franchise, created by a group of young Sicilians. And the combination ofyouth and nature has always fascinated us, hence the idea of becoming a franchisee."

Tulips at your fingertips: the experience at TuliPark

TuliPark offers a unique experience: not only a visit to a corner of Holland in the city, but also the chance to pick and take home tulips. With an expanse of 120,000 tulips to collect on more than 24,000 square meters of field, the park promises to be an unforgettable destination for nature and photography lovers.

With the regular entrance fee, visitors can collect a limited number of tulips, excluding the bulb. However, it is possible to collect more and pay for the remainder at the ticket office, at a cost of 1.50 euros each. In addition, the park offers attractions that evoke the typical Dutch atmosphere, such as reproductions of windmills and giant 'klomp', yellow wooden clogs. Guests can also enjoy a picnic in the shade of tulips, making the experience even more engaging and relaxing.

The grand opening and the unknowns of the weather

The TuliPark's opening is scheduled for March 17, however, much will depend on weather conditions. Inconsistent weather, characteristic of spring, could affect tulip blossoming. "There are very rainy days that alternate with very hot days, then at night the temperatures drop significantly and this stops the growth of vegetation. In short, it's a question mark, we're confidently waiting for the start of an ample tulip bloom," Lavermicocca stressed.
