Puglia takes bronze on the podium of the number of flags awarded this year. In fact, it is third along with Tuscany, with 17 flags, after Campania with 19 flags and Liguria with 32 locations. In Puglia there are 201 Blue Flag 2021 destinations with new entries and a few exits. The number of marinas also goes up, reaching 81.

You have to meet "imperative and guiding" parameters: not only crystal-clear sea resulted "excellent" in the previous four years, but also efficiency of wastewater purification and sewerage system, differentiated waste collection, large pedestrian areas, bike paths, well-kept street furniture and green areas.

In the province of Lecce, the following can boast the Blue Flag 2021:Melendugno, with the resorts of Roca, San Foca north and center, Torre Specchia, Torre SantAndrea and Torre dellOrso; Otranto with Alimini, Baia dei Turchi, Santo Stefano, Castellana, Porto Craulo, Madonna dellAltomare, Idro and Porto Badisco.
But you can also book in Lower Salento where there is the Blue Flag once again confirmed for Salve with Marina di Pescoluse, Posto Vecchio and Torre Pali. Among the new entries is Nardò with Portoselvaggio, SantIsidoro, Santa Caterina, Santa Maria al Bagno and Torre Squillace.

Taranto can also party blue with coastal excellences in the municipalities of Castellaneta for the resorts of Riva dei Tessali, Pineta Giovinazzi, Castellaneta Marina and Bosco della Marina; Maruggio with Commenda, Campomarino and Acqua Dolce; and Ginosa with its Marina di Ginosa.

In the province of Bari are Polignano a Mare with the beaches of San Vito, Cala Paura, Cala San Giovanni, Ripagnola and Coco Village, andMonopoli with the seaside destinations of Castello Santo Stefano, Capitolo and Lido Porto Rosso.
Foggia flaunts its blue pearls in the Tremiti Islands with Cala delle Arene, and in the bays of Monaccora, San Nicola, Procinisco and Peschici, the Lido of Zapponeta. Finally, the province of Barletta Andria and Tranidots Margherita di Savoia Centro Urbano and Cannafesca with blue, and Bisceglie with La Salata and Salsello.
