Furniture Fair: what to see
The new edition of the Milanese furniture fair will have more than 2,000 exhibitors this year. The Salone del Mobile is thus returning to its great glory: within it we find the Salone Internazionale del Mobile precisely, the Salone Internazionale del Complemento dArredo and Workplace3.0, which will offer numerous aesthetic paths.
That of June, is also the edition of the biennial EuroCucina, its side event FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and the Salone Internazionale del Bagno.
Also highly anticipated after its debut in 2019 is S.Project, the exhibition dedicated to design and the world of the project.
In addition, there will be more than 600 exhibitors at the 23rd SaloneSatellite. The theme for 2022 will be Designing for our future selves / designing for our tomorrows. An edition that will invite reflection on inclusive design that promotes autonomy, comfort, movement, usability, interaction and safety for all.
Not only furniture and environments but also a packed program of Talks with the brightest voices on the contemporary design scene. The talks are held with the ambitious goal of putting man, planet, beauty and design back at the center.
Design with Nature: the Salone del Mobile celebrates its birthday
Environmental and social well-being is the theme of Design with Nature, the installation designed by architect Mario Cucinella for the Salone's 60th birthday and hosted in S.Project's Pavilion 15: 1,400 sq. m. that tells of a virtuous ecosystem, an ideal representation of the future of living. The work reasons on the themes ofcircular economyand reuse: the city as a possible reserve of the future, where most of the raw materials useful for construction are present.
The materials of the entire structure, in fact, derive from natural supply chains or from transformed and reused scraps and will be reused after the exhibition, becoming part of educational facilities for new generations: a public library, a school for lymphatics and much more
The Salone del Mobile goes to the Royal Palace
Beyond the boundaries of Milan Rho Fiera, the Salone del Mobile conquers the city and celebrates its 60th anniversary at the Royal Palace. From June 7 in the Sala delle Cariatidi will conquer the scene La Scatola Magica the installation has scheduled 11 art films, made by 11 big names in Italian filmmaking, dedicated to the 11 values that have always characterized the event: Emotion, Business, Quality, Project, System, Communication, Culture, Youth, Ingenuity, Milan, Know-How.
Primary objective: to awaken the collective sense of wonder, create an experience to remember and, through the language of cinema and theater, celebrate the event's birthday and Milan in the name of beauty.
Awaiting visitors is a monumental camera obscura that inspired by the visionary and imaginative world of pre-cinema optical devices and will host a real performance in 3 acts. Signing the concept and executive production is Davide Rampello, with Rampello & Partners Creative Studio.
Upon entering, one will have the impression of being in an elegantart gallery. With dark walls, the magic box will mutate into a movie theater where projections will begin. The finale then, will be a real coup-de-théâtre.
An event of such great proportions as the Salone del Mobile deserves to be visited in comfort.
